PENGARUH KOMUNIKASI ORANG TUA TERHADAP MOTIVASI BERPRESTASI PADA SMP SWASTA RIAMA MEDAN

Abstract

Abstract : Effect of Parent Communication on Achievement Motivation (Study at Private Junior High School of Medan). The purpose of this study is to see the effect of parent communication on student achievement motivation in private junior Riama Medan. The form of the research is descriptive analysis, while the sample used in this research is 75 students of class VII, VIII and IX in Junior High School Private Riama Medan by using data collecting tool that is observation, questionnaire and interview. The results obtained from this study there is no influence between parent communication with achievement motivation in private junior Riama Medan. In accordance with the provisions if the value of r count is smaller than the value of r table (r arithmetic <r table) or 0.027 <0.227 it can be concluded that there is no influence between parent communication to student achievement motivation.

Abstrak : Pengaruh Komunikasi Orang Tua Terhadap Motivasi Berprestasi (Studi pada SMP Swasta Riama Medan). Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk melihat pengaruh komunikasi orang tua terhadap motivasi berprestasi siswa di SMP swasta Riama Medan. Bentuk penelitian dilakukan adalah penelitian deskriptif analisis , adapun sampel yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah sebanyak 75 orang siswa kelas VII, VIII dan IX di SMP Swasta Riama Medan dengan menggunakan alat pengumpul data yaitu observasi, angket dan wawancara. Hasil yang diperoleh dari penelitian ini tidak terdapat pengaruh antara komunikasi orang tua dengan motivasi berprestasi di SMP swasta Riama Medan. Sesuai dengan ketentuan apabila nilai r hitung lebih kecil dari nilai r tabel ( r hitung < r tabel ) atau 0,027< 0,227 maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa tidak terdapat pengaruh antara komunikasi orang tua terhadap motivasi berprestasi siswa.
