Focus and Scope

Gondang is a Journal of Art and Cultural for information and communication resources for academics and observers arts or culture.

The focus is to publish research articles that explore about Arts in general and Culture. Its scope is international in that it welcomes articles from academics, researchers, graduate students, and policymakers. The scope of the Journal includes the following fields: Performing Arts, Music, Dance, Fine Arts, Educational of Arts, Technology of Arts, Music Software, and may include articles that report results of quantitative or qualitative research studies.

Authors are encouraged to submit complete, unpublished, original, and full-length articles that ARE NOT under review in any other journals.

Peer Review Process

The submitted manuscript is first reviewed by an editor. It will be evaluated in the office, whether it is suitable for GONDANG: JURNAL SENI DAN BUDAYA focus and scope or has a major methodological flaw and similarity score by using Turnitin.

The manuscript will be sent to at least two anonymous reviewers (Blind Peer Review). Reviewers' comments are then sent to the corresponding author for necessary actions and responses.

The suggested decision will be evaluated in an editorial board meeting. Afterward, the editor will send the final decision to the corresponding author.

The editors will assess whether the submission is eligible for review. After this formal assessment, if positive, the submission will be sent to two external referees.

Gondang: Jurnal Seni dan Budaya is published twice a year in June and December

This journal utilizes the LOCKSS system to create a distributed archiving system among participating libraries and permits those libraries to create permanent archives of the journal for purposes of preservation and restoration. More...
