This study aims to determine the effect of plyometric training on the smash ability of extracurricular volleyball athletes at SMK Negeri 1 Lintau Buo. The method used was a quasi-experiment with a one-group pre-test and post-test design. The study sample consisted of 7 male athletes selected using purposive sampling. The research instrument consisted of a smash ability test based on Nurhasan’s protocol. Data were analyzed using a normality test, followed by a paired-sample t-test. The results indicated an improvement in smash ability, as evidenced by the mean pre-test score of 2.43 increasing to 3.00 in the post-test. The results of the hypothesis test showed that the calculated t-value (t_hitung) = 2.291 was greater than the critical t-value (t_tabel) = 1.943 at a significance level of α = 0.05, indicating a significant effect. Thus, it can be concluded that plyometric training has a significant effect on improving the smash ability of volleyball athletes. This training is recommended as part of a development program to optimally enhance athletes’ performance.
