Abstract

In order to save costs, inventory management is optimized by selecting a lot size, related to determining the number of orders that need to be ordered to meet supply and demand needs so that inventory does not run out of stock. The purpose of this study was to analyze the control of mineral water supplies using the Economic Order Quantity (EOQ) method and the application of this method at UD. Darman. This research is quantitative descriptive. The optimal purchase frequency of 600 ml AQUA bottled mineral water is 81 times per 13 months or about 6 times per month and 1,500 ml bottled AQUA mineral water is 55 times per year or about 4 times per month.According to the EOQ method, the company must hold a safety stock of11,886 cartonsfor AQUA bottles of 600 ml and as big as2,947 cartonsfor 1500 ml AQUA bottles.
