PENGEMBANGAN LEMBAR KERJA MAHASISWA (LKM) MATEMATIKA BERBASIS PENEMUAN TERBIMBING (GUIDED DISCOVERY LEARNING) PADA MATERI MATRIKS MAHASISWA PROGRAM STUDI PENDIDIKAN TEKNIK BANGUNAN

Abstract

Kebutuhan akan bahan ajar yang mampu memfasilitasi dan membimbing mahasiswa untuk belajar mandiri, memudahkan mahasiswa untuk menemukan dan memahami konsep dengan benar sebagai latar belakang penelitian ini. Buku-buku teks belum dapat membantu mahasiswa memahami dan mengingat konsep-konsep matematika dengan baik. Oleh karena itu, Lembar Kerja Mahasiswa Matematika berbasis penemuan terbimbing (guided discovery learning) pada materi matriks dikembangkan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan Lembar Kerja Mahasiswa matematika berbasis penemuan terbimbing yang valid, praktis, dan efektif. Prosedur pengembangan yang digunakan menggunakan model pengembangan 4-D, tetapi dalam penelitian ini hanya menggunakan 3-D yang terdiri dari 3 tahap yaitu, define, design, dan develop. Lembar Kerja Mahasiwa ini dikembangkan dengan memuat enam prinsip pembelajaran berbasis penemuan terbimbing, yang menjelaskan tujuan, orientasi pada masalah, merumuskan hipotesis, menemukan kegiatan, menyajikan hasil kegiatan penemuan, dan mengevaluasi. Berdasarkan analisis data disimpulkan bahwa penelitian ini menghasilkan lembar kerja mahasiswa berbasis penemuan terbimbing yang valid, praktis, dan efektif pada materi matriks mahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan Teknik Bangunan di Universitas Negeri Medan.

ABSTRACT The need for teaching materials that are able to facilitate and guide students for independent learning, makes it easier for students to find and understand concepts correctly as the background of this research. Text books have not been able to help students understand and remember mathematical concepts well. Therefore, Student Work Sheet Of Mathematical based on guided discovery learning on matrix material was developed. This study aims to develop Student Work Sheet of mathematical based on guided discovery learning that is valid, practical, and effective. The development procedure used follows the 4-D development model, but in this study only used 3-D consisting of 3 stages, there are define, design, and develop. This Student Work Sheet is developed by containing six principles of guided discovery based learning, are explaining objectives, orientation of students on the problem, formulating hypotheses, finding activities, presenting the results of discovery activities, and evaluating. Based on the data analysis it was concluded that this study produced guided discovery based worksheets that were valid, practical, and effective in the material material for students of Building Engineering Education Study Program at the State University of Medan.
