PENERAPAN METODE LATIHAN BERSTRUKTUR DENGAN MENGGUNAKAN LKS UNTUK MENINGKATKAN AKTIVITAS DAN KEMAMPUAN MEMECAHKAN MASALAH MATEMATIKA SISWA DI KELAS X SMA SWASTA DHARMA PANCASILA MEDAN TAHUN AJARAN 2010/2011

Abstract


The problems that often arise in the process of learning mathematics in school is inactivity students in following the teaching and learning activities, whereas the activity of students in teaching and learning activities is one factor supporting the success to be able to achieve predetermined learning objectives. As a result, students are less interested in taking a math lesson, students think learning math is not a requirement, but only as the demands of the curriculum, so that was not getting the meaning of the math lessons learned as a result have an impact on the results obtained by students. From this fact we need a business that can help resolve the problems mentioned above. This research was conducted on 39 students of class X-2 SMA Private School Dharma Pancasila Medan in Year 2010/2011 by applying a structured training methods and use LKS on the subject of quadratic equations. Initial condition before treatment is given the average student activity is 32.82%. After a given treatment in the first cycle, applying the method of structured exercises using worksheets obtained average student activity at the first meeting at 44.49% and 54.62% for second meeting. In the second cycle after fixing the weaknesses of the first cycle obtained by the average student activity at the first meeting at 71.41% and the second meeting at 80.77%. And then there is increased activity of student learning.
