PERBEDAAN KEMAMPUAN KOMUNIKASI MATEMATIS SISWA MENGGUNAKAN MODEL PEMBELAJARAN PROBLEM BASED LEARNING (PBL) DENGAN MODEL PEMBELAJARAN KOOPERATIF TIPE STAD DI KELAS VIII SMP NEGERI 1 SELESAI T.A 2015/2016
Abstract
study aims to look at the differences in students' mathematical communication skills by applying two models of learning, ie learning model Problem Based Learning (PBL) and cooperative learning model STAD on the Pythagorean theorem material. Research conducted at SMP Negeri 1 Selesai with the sampling technique is simple random sampling and selecting classes done at random, obtained class VIII-3 as the experimental class A and class VIII-7 as the experimental class B respectively numbered 34 and 32 students , The instrument used in this study is a test essay by the number of items have been about 6 divalidkan by the validator. Data analysis using t test at significance level of 5% with the prerequisite test of normality and homogeneity. In both classes the pretest data testing showed that both classes of data were normally distributed and homogeneous. T-test-pretest posttest difference of data obtained t = 7.78255, while table = 1.669. Because tcount> ttable (7.8255> 1.669), then Ho is rejected and Ha accepted, which means that there are differences in students' mathematical communication skills taught by learning model Problem Based Learning and the model type STAD cooperative learning in class VIII SMP Negeri 1 Selesai.
