PENERAPAN MODEL PEMBELAJARAN QUANTUM TEACHING UNTUK MENINGKATKAN KEMAMPUAN PEMECAHAN MASALAH SISWA DI KELAS VII SMP

Abstract


This study aims to improve student’s problem-solving abilities with Quantum teaching model on the subject of integer class VII SMP Harvard Medan. This type of reserch is a classroom action research. The subjects were students of class VII-1 SMP Harvard Asssemble TA 2014/2015 which amounted to 35 students. The object of this study is an effort to improve the ability of mathematical problem solving trough Quantum teaching model on the subject of integer. The research  instrument used is the observation and mathematical problem solving ability test. From the results of analysis data  are given treatment by apllying Quantum teaching model on first cycle obtained were 15 students (42,85%), which reached the criteria of problem solving abilities. This shows that in the first cycle of mathtematical problem solving ability of students as a whole has not reached 85%, the continued action on the second cycle. From the result of mathematical problem solving ability test on second cycle data shows that as many as 31 students (88,57%) that reached criteria problem solving abilities. This is shows that the mathematical problem solving ability of students has reached 85%, and then the action is stopped. Base on the above result, it can be concluded that by applying Quantum teaching model can improve students mathematical problem solving ability on the subject of integer in class VII SMP Harvard Medan.
