Penerapan Discovery Learning pada Senam Lantai untuk Meningkatkan Hasil Belajar Guling Depan dan Belakang Siswa

Rendahnya hasil belajar guling depan dan guling belakang siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 33 Palembang disebabkan oleh kurangnya rasa percaya diri, kesulitan memahami teknik, serta dominasi pembelajaran yang bersifat teacher-centered. Penelitian ini bertujuan meningkatkan hasil belajar senam lantai melalui penerapan model Discovery Learning. Penelitian menggunakan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas model Kemmis dan McTaggart yang dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus pada semester genap tahun pelajaran 2024/2025 di SMP Negeri 33 Palembang. Subjek penelitian adalah 28 siswa kelas VII. Setiap siklus meliputi perencanaan, tindakan dan observasi, serta refleksi. Data dikumpulkan melalui tes praktik, tes tulis, lembar observasi afektif, dan dokumentasi. Data kemudian dianalisis secara kuantitatif deskriptif menggunakan persentase ketuntasan, dengan KKTP ≥75 dan indikator keberhasilan ≥85%. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa ketuntasan meningkat dari 7% (2 siswa) pada pra-siklus menjadi 39% (11 siswa) pada siklus I, dan mencapai 100% (28 siswa) pada siklus II, atau naik 93 poin persentase. Peningkatan terbesar terjadi setelah penambahan bimbingan teknik intensif dan peer teaching. Disimpulkan bahwa Discovery Learning efektif meningkatkan hasil belajar guling depan dan guling belakang. Guru PJOK direkomendasikan memadukan model ini dengan bimbingan teknik dan peer teaching pada materi keterampilan gerak yang menuntut keberanian fisik.
