Pendekatan Rational Optimizing vs Satisficing dalam Pengambilan Keputusan Kepala Sekolah

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji dan menganalisis pendekatan rational optimizing dan satisficing dalam pengambilan keputusan kepala sekolah, serta mengidentifikasi faktor-faktor yang memengaruhi pemilihan kedua pendekatan tersebut dalam konteks kepemimpinan sekolah. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode studi pustaka (library research) dengan menelaah berbagai sumber ilmiah berupa buku teks klasik dan kontemporer, artikel jurnal nasional dan internasional, serta dokumen kebijakan pendidikan yang relevan. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui penelusuran, seleksi, dan pengelompokan literatur yang membahas teori pengambilan keputusan, khususnya konsep bounded rationality dan satisficing yang dikemukakan oleh Herbert A. Simon. Teknik analisis data menggunakan analisis isi (content analysis) dan sintesis tematik untuk mengidentifikasi pola, konsep utama, serta keterkaitan antar temuan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pendekatan rational optimizing efektif diterapkan dalam pengambilan keputusan strategis dan jangka panjang yang membutuhkan analisis komprehensif, sedangkan pendekatan satisficing lebih adaptif dalam situasi operasional, dinamis, dan penuh keterbatasan informasi serta waktu. Kesimpulannya, kedua pendekatan tersebut bersifat saling melengkapi, dan efektivitas kepemimpinan kepala sekolah ditentukan oleh kemampuan mengombinasikan rational optimizing dan satisficing secara fleksibel dan kontekstual.References
