Keefektifan Model Discovery Learning Berbantuan Media PAPADES terhadap Kemampuan Berpikir Kritis Siswa

Kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa sekolah dasar masih rendah karena pembelajaran berpusat pada guru dan minimnya penggunaan media. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui keefektifan model Discovery Learning berbantuan media PAPADES (Papan Perkalian Desimal) terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa. Pendekatan penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif dengan metode eksperimen jenis one group pretest-posttest design, yang melibatkan 25 siswa kelas V SDN Kedungmutih 1. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara, observasi, dan tes, kemudian dianalisis menggunakan uji normalitas, uji paired sample t-test, dan uji N-Gain. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya keefektifan model Discovery Learning berbantuan media PAPADES terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa. Hal ini dibuktikan dengan kenaikan nilai rata-rata dari tes awal (pretest) sebesar 45,30 menjadi 74,63 pada tes akhir (posttest). Selanjutnya, hasil uji N-Gain score diperoleh sebesar 0,56 dengan kategori sedang, dan persentase N-Gain mencapai 56% yang masuk dalam kategori cukup efektif. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut, dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan model Discovery Learning yang didukung oleh media PAPADES efektif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa kelas V SDN Kedungmutih 1.
