POLITIK MULTIKULTURAL DI INDONESIA; MEMBANGUN KONSOLIDASI DEMOKRASI
Abstract
Electoral process in Post-Soeharto has really been raising a liberal democracy system and even a transactional democracy is obvious. A highly level of diversities in Indonesia includes cultures, ethnics and religions have actually failed to understand such liberal democracy. But instead of the enhancement of political participation of society, the political process is more precisely when political elites have taken the diversities as a main commodity to get voter amid the vulnerability of democratic institutions such as political party and its functions. This article focuses on the political identity in Indonesia and its influence to strengthen the consolidated democracy that performs and upholds human rights principles.
