MENEGASKAN KEMBALI HAK KESEHATAN JIWA SEBAGAI HAK ASASI MANUSIA
Abstract
Mental health has globally been recognized as inalienable right for human being. Actually, in attaining the higest standard for living, mental health directly underpins the human dignity. It’s really needed a new paradigm of State, particularly government to promote, protect and fulfill the rights of persons with mental disorder and mental illness with adequate treatments and services. Beside the ratification of CRPD through Law No. 9 of 2011, Indonesia also enacted Law No. 18 of 2014 concerning Mental Health and Law No. 8 of 2016 concerning Person with Disabilities. This article studies the development of mental health at national and international context. Furthermore, the implementation of human rights-based approach to mental health in Indonesia is main goal of this article.
