Analisis Pemecahan Masalah Pada Siswa dalam Menyelesaikan Sistem Persamaan Linear Dua Variabel di Kelas VIII-3 SMP Negeri 30 Medan

Abstract

This study aims to determine the problem solving abilities in students with SPLDV material. This type of research is qualitative research. The subjects of this study were students of class VIII-3 of SMP Negeri 30 Medan. The results of this study are: 1) at the stage of understanding the problem most students are able to identify problems such as writing information that is known and asked on the question even though they have not fully written it in mathematical form, 2) at the planning stage. from the question, even though there are students, 3) at the stage of implementing the problem solving plan, some students are able to solve the problem with the correct procedure using both elimination and substitution methods, but there are students who are lacking in their calculations. Some other students stop at the stage of making plans because they do not know what steps to do, 4) at the stage of checking the results of the work, most students do not do the examination again.
