PERAN MODERASI MOTIVASI BEROLAHRAGA DALAM MENJELASKAN PENGARUH BODY IMAGE TERHADAP AKTIVITAS FISIK PADA MAHASISWA

Penelitian ini bertujuan menguji pengaruh body image terhadap aktivitas fisik dengan motivasi berolahraga sebagai variabel moderasi pada mahasiswa di Kota Surabaya. Desain penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan model Moderated Regression Analysis (MRA). Sebanyak 140 mahasiswa aktif berusia 18-23 tahun terlibat melalui pemilihan teknik purposive sampling. Data dikumpulkan menggunakan tiga instrumen terstandar, yaitu Multidimensional Body-Self Relations Questionnaire (MBSRQ) untuk mengukur body image, International Physical Activity Questionnaire–Short Form (IPAQ-SF) untuk aktivitas fisik, dan Exercise Motivation Inventory-2 (EMI-2) untuk motivasi berolahraga. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa body image tidak berpengaruh signifikan terhadap aktivitas fisik (β = -0,028; p = 0,725), sedangkan motivasi berolahraga memiliki pengaruh positif dan signifikan (β = 0,379; p < 0,001). Selain itu, motivasi berolahraga tidak memoderasi hubungan antara body image dan aktivitas fisik (β = -0,113; p = 0,157), namun berperan langsung sebagai prediktor perilaku aktif mahasiswa. Kesimpulan penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa peningkatan motivasi personal dan sosial lebih efektif dalam mendorong keterlibatan aktivitas fisik dibanding pembentukan persepsi tubuh ideal pada mahasiswa. Temuan ini memberikan kontribusi terhadap pengembangan bidang ilmu psikologi olahraga dan olahraga rekreasi, serta dapat dijadikan dasar bagi perancangan kebijakan promosi gaya hidup sehat berbasis motivasi di lingkungan kampusReferences
