Abstract


This study discusses the management of electronic photo archives with the aim of knowing the efforts and efforts made by the Archives and Libraries Office of Pati Regency in maintaining the authenticity of their digitized archives. This research also specifically aims to understand the steps needed in managing electronic photo archives, including the process of digitizing, authenticating, and managing textual archives which consist of managing textually active dynamic archives and textually inactive dynamic archives. The research method used in this research is thematic analysis. Thematic analysis is a method used to produce themes that answer the phenomena studied and show the interrelationships between these themes. The results of this study indicate the steps in compiling electronic photo archives, which include the creation of archives through the digitization process, authentication of digitized archives, and management of textual archives which are divided into management of textually active dynamic archives and textually inactive dynamic archives. The results of the study also show that electronic photo archiving has several advantages, such as better time efficiency and does not take much time compared to physical photo archiving. The contribution of this research is to provide understanding and insight into the management of electronic photo archives at the Archives and Libraries Office of Pati Regency. The results of this study can serve as a guideline for these agencies in maintaining the authenticity of digitized archives and implementing efficient steps in managing electronic photo archives. In addition, this research also provides an understanding of the advantages and benefits of electronic photo archiving compared to physical archiving, which can encourage the adoption of digital technology in record management.
