Focus and Scope

Indonesian Journal of Chemical Science and Technology (IJCST)  is published by The Chemistry Department of Mathematics and Natural Sciences Faculty, Universitas Negeri Medan (UNIMED) Indonesia. This scientific periodical specializes in the study of Multidisciplinary of Chemistry Field, including Pure Chemistry and Applied Chemistry. The journal publishes original research and review which submissions on original advances in the understanding of Chemical application and Engineering areas, are welcome.

Peer Review Process

All submitted articles will be reviewed by at least 2 reviewers and The editors-in-chief will review all submissions and select those, which will be invited to submit a full policy paper.


Open Access Policy

This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.


Publication Ethics

Indonesian Journal of Chemical Science and Technology (IJCST) clarifies ethical behaviour of all parties involved in the act of publishing an article in this journal, including the author, the chief editor, the Editorial Board, the peer-reviewer and the publisher. This statement is based on COPE’s Code of Conduct

it is expected of authors, reviewers and editors that they follow the best-practice guidelines on ethical behaviour contained therein.


Publication Charges

To publish in the Indonesian Journal of Chemical Science and Technology, authors are required to pay an Article Publication Charge (APC).

APC is 250,000.00 (IDR) paid after there is certainty that submitted papers are accepted for publication. While the submission and review process is free of charge.



Plagiarism Screening

The author must ensure that the articles sent to the editor are original works and not plagiarism. If the author cites another article, don't forget to include the source of the article.
