Focus and Scope
JBIO: jurnal biosains (the journal of biosciences) features works of exceptional significance, originality, and relevance in all areas of biological science, from molecules to ecosystems, (ie genetic, microbiology, ecology, biosystematic, biostatistic) including works at the interface of other disciplines, such as chemistry, medicine,physic and mathematics. We also welcome data-driven meta-research articles that evaluate and aim to improve the standards of research in the life sciences and beyond. Our audience is the international scientific community as well as educators, policy makers, patient advocacy groups, and interested members of the public around the world.
Criteria for Publication
Jurnal Biosains (JBIO) is highly selective in the manuscripts that it publishes; rejection rates are high. To be considered for publication in Jurnal Biosains, any given manuscript must be exceptional in the following ways:
Originality
Importance to researchers in its field
Interest to scientists outside the field
- Rigorous methodology and substantial evidence for its conclusions

Peer Review Process
All manuscript will be reviewed by reviewer accordance with its scope of the journal. The review process conducted by Double Blind Preview Process.
The time given for the review process is one week starting from articles submitted to the reviewer. The editorial team will determine the article is accepted or not based on the results of a review of the reviewer.
For writers who want to submit the manuscript publication is expected to pay attention to the following rules:
- The article is not a plagiarism of other people's work.
- Article sent has never been published and not under consideration for publication in another journal.
- Articles should be sent according to the JBIO : Jurnal Biosains template
Publication Frequency
The journal is published in both print and online versions 3 times per year (March, August and December)
Open Access Policy
This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.
Archiving
This journal utilizes the LOCKSS system to create a distributed archiving system among participating libraries and permits those libraries to create permanent archives of the journal for purposes of preservation and restoration. More...
Screening for Plgiarism
Jurnal Biosains will ensure that every published article will not exceed a 20% similarity Score (Articles found with plagiarism more than 20% are automatically rejected, and authors are advised if the article has a similarity below or equal to 20%). Plagiarism screening will be conducted by Editor in chief using Plagiarism Checker X.
