PERKEMBANGAN TARI KREASI MELAYU DI KOTA TANJUNGBALAI

Tari kreasi Melayu di Kota Tanjungbalai sudah ada sejak tahun 1960-an yang dipelopori oleh sanggar Seni Budaya Asahan dan sanggar Karisma pada tahun 1970-an, serta diikuti oleh sanggar-sanggar lain hingga sekarang. Berdasarkan dari bentuk penyajiannya , perkembangan dapat diamati dari ilmu komposisi yang telah ditata kembali berdasarkan karya tari yang diciptakan sebelumnya. Tari menguyak pucuk sebagai sampel dari penelitian, menyusun kembali karyanya menjadi karya baru dengan memanfaatkan pola serempak, berimbang, berurutan/bergantian, selang-seling, dan terpecah, sebagai acuan dalam penataannya.
