Les techniques de traduction de français vers indonésien sur les fables storyweaver

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the translation techniques used in French Storyweaver fables into Indonesian and identify the most used techniques. This research uses a qualitative descriptive research approach. The theory used to analyze the data is the theory of translation techniques proposed by Molina and Albir. The data source of this research is Storyweaver fables level 1 to level 4. The data of this research are words, phrases, and clauses that use Molina and Albir's translation techniques from Storyweaver fables level 1 to level 4. The result shows that there are 358 data that apply translation techniques according to Molina and Albir's theory. The 358 data consist of 102 words, 181 phrases, and 75 clauses. According to Molina and Albir's 18 translation techniques, 11 techniques are found in Storyweaver fables level 1 to level 4. The 11 techniques are literal translation, transposition, adaptation, amplification, linguistic compression, established equivalence, modulation, borrowing, generalization, calque, and compensation. In addition, 1 translation technique was also found from Delisle, namely the omission technique.
