PENGARUH MODEL PEMBELAJARAN PROBLEM SOLVING TERHADAP HASIL BELAJAR SISWA KELAS X SMA NEGERI 7 MEDAN

Abstrak

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk : 1) Mengetahui aktivitas siswa selama penerapan model pembelajaran problem solving. 2) Mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran problem solving terhadap hasil belajar siswa pada materi pokok Optika Geometris. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas X SMA Negeri 7 Medan T.P 2012/2013 dan sampel diambil sebanyak 2 kelas secara random. Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah Two Group Pretest-Posttest Design. Instrumen penelitian menggunakan objektif tes dan lembar observasi aktivitas siswa. Data diperoleh dari hasil pretes dan postes yang diberikan kepada siswa. Dari hasil analisa data, diperoleh nilai rata-rata aktivitas siswa kelas eksperimen 68,12 dan kelas kontrol 52,92 , ini menunjukkan bahwa model pembelajaran problem solving lebih meningkatkan aktivitas belajar siswa. Setelah diberi perlakuan berbeda diperoleh rata-rata nilai postes pada kelas eksperimen 68,20 dan kelas kontrol 58,00. Hasil pengujian hipotesis (uji t) diperoleh thitung > ttabel yaitu 2,06 > 1,66 dengan α = 0,05, ini berarti bahwa ada pengaruh model pembelajaran problem solving terhadap hasil belajar siswa.

Abstract

This research aims to: 1) Determine the student activity during the application of problem solving learning model. 2) Determine the influence of the learning model of problem solving on student learning outcomes in the subject matter Geometric Optics. The population in this study were all students of class X SMA Negeri 7 Medan A.Y 2012/2013 and samples were taken at random by 2 classes. The study design used is Two Group Pretest-Posttest Design. Research instruments using objective tests and observation of student activity sheets. Data obtained from the pretest and posttest were given to students. From the data analysis, the average values ​​obtained experimental class student activities and classroom control 68.12 52.92, this suggests that the model of learning problem solving further enhance students' learning activities. After beeing given different treatment obtained an average value of 68.20 posttest in the experimental class and the control class 58.00. Results of hypothesis testing (t-test) tobtained > ttable ie 2.06> 1.66 with α = 0.05, this means that there is a model of learning problem solving influence on learning outcomes of students.
