PENGARUH MODEL PEMBELAJARAN KOOPERATIF TIPE TEAMS GAMES TOURNAMENTS (TGT) TERHADAP HASIL BELAJAR SISWA KELAS VIII SMP SWASTA MUHAMMADIYAH 06 BELAWAN T.P 2013/2014

Abstract


ABSTRACT

This study aims to determine the significant effect of the result cooperative learning model Teams Games Tournaments (TGT) to the student’s learning result in the main subject second semester VIII pressure Class in SMP Muhammadiyah 06 Belawan T.P 2013/2014. This research is quasi experimental. The  population in this research was all students in class VIII which consists of 7 classes. Was chosen class VIII-3 and VIII-2 as an experimental class and control class with random cluster sampling technique. Instrument learning results were contain of multiple-choice tests and observation sheet test student activity observation. Learning results have been conducted to measure the student’s learning outcomes Average data of pre-test experimental class and control class was 41.4 and 39.6. In both classes of the test data obtained pretest that both classes of data are normally distributed and homogeneous. T-test result of pretest obtained Ho is accepted means the ability of the students at the beginning of the second class of the same. Then given treatment that is experimental class with cooperative learning model Teams Games Tournaments (TGT) and a control class with conventional learning models. After the study complete, the data obtained with the posttest average yield experimental class and control class is 73,3dan 61.8. In both classes of the test data obtained posttest that both classes of data are normally distributed and homogeneous. T test results obtained Ha was accepted that no significant influence cooperative learning model Teams Games Tournaments (TGT) to the student learning outcomes.

ABSTRAK

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh yang signifikan akibat model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Teams Games Tournaments (TGT) terhadap hasil belajar siswa pada materi pokok tekanan Kelas VIII semester II SMP Swasta Muhammadiyah 06 Belawan T.P 2013/2014. Jenis penelitian ini adalah quasi experiment. Populasi dalam penelitian  adalah seluruh siswa kelas VIII yang terdiri dari 7 kelas. Terpilih kelas VIII-3 dan VIII-2 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol melalui teknik cluster random sampling. Instrumen berupa tes hasil belajar berbentuk soal pilihan berganda dan lembar observasi pengamatan aktivitas siswa. Tes hasil belajar telah dilakukan uji persyaratan tes untuk mengukur hasil belajar siswa. Data rata-rata pretes kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol masing-masing 41,4 dan 39,6. Pada pengujian data pretes kedua kelas diperoleh bahwa data kedua kelas berdistribusi normal dan homogen. Hasil uji t pretes diperoleh Ho diterima artinya kemampuan awal siswa pada kedua kelas sama. Kemudian diberikan perlakuan yaitu kelas eksperimen dengan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Teams Games Tournaments (TGT) dan kelas kontrol dengan model pembelajaran konvensional. Setelah pembelajaran selesai diberikan, diperoleh data postes dengan hasil rata-rata kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol masing-masing 73,3dan 61,8. Pada pengujian data postes kedua kelas diperoleh bahwa data kedua kelas berdistribusi normal dan homogen. Hasil uji t diperoleh  diterima yakni ada pengaruh yang signifikan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Teams Games Tournaments (TGT) terhadap hasil belajar siswa.
