Review Process

All manuscripts submitted to Jurnal Insinyur Profesional (JIP) will undergo a double-blind peer review process, ensuring that the identities of both the authors and reviewers remain anonymous throughout the review.

The peer review process in JIP is conducted in the following stages:

  1. Initial Editorial Screening
The Editor-in-Chief or assigned Section Editor will evaluate the manuscript for its relevance to the journal’s scope, originality, academic quality, and adherence to submission guidelines. Manuscripts that do not meet the basic requirements will be desk-rejected without external review.

  2. Reviewer Assignment
Manuscripts passing the initial screening are assigned to two independent reviewers with expertise relevant to the manuscript topic. Reviewers are selected based on their scholarly background, experience, and publication history.

  3. Review Evaluation
Reviewers are asked to evaluate the manuscript within 2 to 4 weeks, focusing on:

    • Originality and significance of the contribution

    • Clarity and coherence of the presentation

    • Methodological soundness and rigor

    • Appropriateness of references

    • Adherence to ethical standards and citation practices

  4. Editorial Decision
Based on the reviewers' recommendations, the editor will make one of the following decisions:

    • Accept as is

    • Minor revisions required

    • Major revisions required

    • Reject

  5. Revision and Resubmission
Authors are given a specific time to revise the manuscript and address the reviewers’ comments. The revised manuscript may be sent back to the same reviewers for re-evaluation if necessary.

  6. Final Decision
The final decision regarding acceptance or rejection is made by the Editor-in-Chief based on the reviewers’ reports and the quality of the revised manuscript.

  7. Publication
Accepted manuscripts will be scheduled for publication in the upcoming issue and undergo copyediting, layout formatting, and final proofreading.
