OPTIMALISASI PERAN PERKUMPULAN FORUM KOMITE SEKOLAH PROVINSI GORONTALO

Abstract

Salah satu organisasi milik sekolah yang yang menjadi wadah bagi stakeholder sekolah untuk bisa memberikan perannya pada penyelenggaraan pendidikan adalah komite sekolah. Peran komite sekolah tersebut di Provinsi Gorontalo perlu dimaksimalkan melalui workshop dalam bentuk focus group discussion (FGD). Kegiatan tersebut sebagai bentuk pengabdian kepada masyarakat dalam upaya menindaklanjuti penelitian yang telah dilaksanakan tahun 2017-2018 tentang budaya Huyula (gotong-royong) pembayaran SPP yang belum sesuai ekspektasi. Kegiatan yang memiliki tema tentang optimalisasi partisipasi komite sekolah tersebut terlaksana dengan baik sehingga menghasilkan kesepakatan penting disertai dengan pembentukan forum komite sekolah di Provinsi Gorontalo yang memiliki akta otentik. Adanya forum penting ini dapat dimaksimalkan pada aspek strategis berikut; 1) memberikan fasilitas untuk berbagi pengetahuan maupun pengalaman antar komite sekolah mengenai keberhasilan dalam memaksimalkan peran stakeholder sekolah dalam hal pendanaan untuk penyeleggaraan pendidikan, 2) sebagai sarana belajar bagi mahasiswa Program Studi Manajemen Pendidikan FIP UNG dalam penyelenggaraan kegiatan yang melibatkan pihak eksternal, 3) menjadi ide mendidik tentang dana sekolah menjadi tanggung jawab negara dan penggunaan dana operasional sekolah hanya untuk menutupi standar minimal, sedangkan peningkatan mutu sekolah yang unggul memerlukan dukungan dari orang tua dan masyarakat, 4) memperkokoh slogan tentang pendidikan gratis, 5) mensosialisasikan Gerakan Huyula untuk mewujudkan sekolah unggul.

Abstract

One of the school-owned organizations that becomes a forum for school stakeholders to be able to give their role in the implementation of education is the school committee. The role of the school committee in Gorontalo Province needs to be maximized through workshops in the form of focus group discussions (FGD). This activity is a form of community service in an effort to follow up on research that has been carried out in 2017-2018 on Huyula culture (gotong royong) to pay tuition fees that have not met expectations. The activity with the theme of optimizing school committee participation was carried out well, resulting in an important agreement accompanied by the establishment of a school committee forum in Gorontalo Province that had an authentic certificate. The existence of this important forum can be maximized in the following strategic aspects; 1) provide facilities for sharing knowledge and experiences between school committees regarding success in maximizing the role of school stakeholders in terms of funding for education implementation, 2) as a learning tool for students of the Education Management Study Program FIP UNG in organizing activities involving external parties, 3 ) became the idea of educating about school funds being the responsibility of the state and the use of school operational funds only to cover minimum standards, while improving the quality of superior schools requires support from parents and the community, 4) strengthening the slogan about free education, 5) socializing the Huyula Movement for create an excellent school.
