Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji pengaruh regulasi emosi terhadap ketangguhan mental dengan aktivitas fisik sebagai variabel moderasi pada atlet remaja di SMA Negeri Olahraga Jawa Timur. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif non-eksperimental dengan desain korelasional. Sampel penelitian terdiri dari 113 atlet remaja berusia 15–17 tahun yang dipilih menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Data dikumpulkan menggunakan Emotion Regulation Questionnaire–Short Form untuk mengukur regulasi emosi, Mental Toughness Questionnaire–18 untuk mengukur ketangguhan mental, serta International Physical Activity Questionnaire– Short Form untuk mengukur aktivitas fisik. Analisis data dilakukan menggunakan statistik deskriptif, regresi linier sederhana, dan regresi moderasi dengan bantuan perangkat lunak JASP versi 0.95. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa regulasi emosi berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap ketangguhan mental atlet remaja. Regulasi emosi mampu menjelaskan sebagian variasi ketangguhan mental, namun aktivitas fisik tidak terbukti memoderasi hubungan antara regulasi emosi dan ketangguhan mental. Temuan ini mengindikasikan bahwa pada atlet remaja dengan tingkat aktivitas fisik yang relatif homogen, kemampuan regulasi emosi merupakan faktor psikologis yang lebih menentukan ketangguhan mental dibandingkan perbedaan aktivitas fisik. Penelitian ini memberikan implikasi praktis bagi pembinaan atlet remaja dengan menekankan pentingnya penguatan aspek psikologis, khususnya regulasi emosi, sebagai bagian integral dari program pelatihan di sekolah olahraga
