Abstract

The aim of this investigation is to find out the adjectives in the novel “Emil and the Detectives” from 1978 by Erich Kästner and to describe the analysis's function. The descriptive qualitative method is used in this study. The investigation uses the technique to search, collect, analyze, and generalize the data with the accumulated phenomenon. The data in this study are the adjectives in the 1978 novel "Emil and the Detectives" by Erich Kästner that have a function. The data source of the investigation is the novel "Emil and the Detectives" from 1978 by Erich Kästner. From the analysis of the results in Chapter IV, the following can be summarized that adjectives are used as attributes, adjectives as predicatives, and adjectives as adverbial determinations. Adjectives as attributes are 285, adjectives as predicatives are 227, and adjectives as adverbial determinations are 403.

Das Ziel dieser Untersuchung ist es, um der Adjektive im Roman  ,,Emil und die Detektive” aus dem Jahr 1978 von Erich Kästner herauszufinden und die Analyse die Funktion zu beschreiben. In dieser Untersuchung wird die deskriptive qualitative Methode angewendet. Die Untersuchung benutzt die Technik, um die Daten zu suchen, zu sammeln, zu analysieren und mit den mit angesammelten Phänomen zu verallgemeinen. Die Daten in dieser Untersuchung sind die Adjektive im Roman  ,,Emil und die Detektive” aus dem Jahr 1978 von Erich Kästner, die Funktion haben. Die Datenquelle der Untersuchung ist der Roman ,,Emil und die Detektive” aus dem Jahr 1978 von Erich Kästner. Von der Analyse  der Ergebnissen in dem Kapitel IV kann folgendes zusammengefasst werden, dass Adjektive als Attribute, Adjektive als Prädikative, und Adjektive als Adverbiale Bestimmungen genutzt werden. Adjektive als Attribute umfasst 285, Adjektive als Prädikative umfasst 227, und Adjektive als Adverbiale Bestimmungen umfasst 403.
