Abstrak

Struktur Data dan Algoritma (DSA) merupakan topik penting dalam pendidikan ilmu komputer, namun banyak mahasiswa mengalami kesulitan dalam memahami konsep-konsep abstrak melalui metode pembelajaran konvensional. Penelitian ini menghadirkan Catch U Bro, sebuah game detektif edukatif yang dirancang untuk mengenalkan konsep-konsep DSA melalui gameplay yang interaktif.

Dalam game ini, pemain menyelidiki tersangka menggunakan beberapa perantara informasi (information brokers) yang merepresentasikan struktur data berbeda, termasuk stack (tumpukan), queue (antrean), dan hash map. Setiap perantara menerapkan mekanisme pengambilan data yang berbeda, sehingga mengharuskan pemain untuk berinteraksi dengan data tersebut sesuai dengan struktur yang diimplementasikan.

Sistem ini dikembangkan sebagai game berbasis desktop menggunakan Godot engine dengan pengacakan data tersangka dan pembuatan petunjuk untuk menciptakan pengalaman bermain yang bervariasi. Implementasi ini menunjukkan bagaimana konsep DSA dapat diintegrasikan ke dalam mekanik game bergaya detektif guna menyediakan media pembelajaran yang lebih menarik dan praktis. Pendekatan yang diusulkan ini diharapkan dapat meningkatkan pemahaman mahasiswa terhadap struktur data sekaligus mengasah kemampuan berpikir logis dan pemecahan masalah (problem-solving).
