Teacher certification is a strategic policy in realizing professional and quality educators. The main purpose of certification is to ensure that teachers have the competencies needed to carry out their duties as learning agents. Teacher certificates are formal evidence of the recognition of teacher professionalism. This article aims to analyze the implementation of teacher certification in Indonesia and its impact on educator professionalism. Using a descriptive-qualitative method, data is reviewed based on policy documents and academic references. The results of the analysis show that certification makes a positive contribution to improving competency, but there are still challenges in its implementation, such as equalization and monitoring of qualityReferences
