RUMAH ADAT BOLON: PENGENALAN BANGUN DATAR MENGGUNAKAN MODEL DEEP LEARNING SEDERHANA UNTUK SISWAA KELAS IV-A SDN 106161 LAUT DENDANG
Abstract
This study aims to improve students' understanding of plane geometry concepts through the integration of culturally-based instructional media, namely Bolon traditional house miniatures, using an interactive approach supported by simple deep learning technology. The research subjects were 30 fourth-grade students at SDN 106161 Laut Dendang. The study employed Classroom Action Research (CAR) with both qualitative and quantitative approaches. The findings indicate that concrete media in the form of Bolon house miniatures effectively helped students recognize geometric shapes such as squares, rectangles, triangles, and circles in a contextual manner. Moreover, this approach also strengthened students' cultural awareness and fostered an active, engaging learning environment. Simple deep learning technology was applied to support the classification of geometric elements in the miniatures, offering potential for digital-based cultural preservation. Thus, the integration of ethnomathematics and modern technology in mathematics education has proven effective in enhancing students’ conceptual understanding while reinforcing their local cultural identity.References
