Author Guidelines
1. Types of Manuscripts Accepted
Gorga accepts peer-reviewed manuscripts in the form of:

Original research article.

Conceptual/theoretical paper.
-
Reflection-based practice/studio articles and visual documentation (practice-based reports).
-
Critical reviews and exhibition reviews.
-
Methodological notes or brief reports.
2. General Requirements
-
Publication language: English.
-
An abstract must be included in both Indonesian and English for every Indonesian-language manuscript. English-language manuscripts must still include an English abstract.

All manuscripts will go through a double-blind peer review process and ethics/plagiarism check.
-
Manuscripts must be submitted no later than 1 (one) month before the publication date (publication schedule: July and December).
3. Document Length & Format
-
Page limit: Maximum 17 pages (A4, single-sided).

Layout: A4 paper, 2 columns .
-
Margins: top 2.5 cm; bottom 2.0 cm; left 2.5 cm; right 2.0 cm.
-
Space: 1.15.
-
Font: Times New Roman. Size: 10 pt for main text; 8 pt for text in tables and image captions.

Section numbering: It is not necessary to number each section—authors may use unnumbered headings, but the structure should be clear and consistent.
4. Structure & Content of the Manuscript
The manuscript should contain the following sections (flexible order depending on the type of manuscript):

Title

Author name, full affiliation, institutional address, and corresponding author email address (include ORCID if applicable)

Abstract (Indonesian and English; max. 250 words per abstract)

Keywords (3–6 keywords)

Introduction

Theoretical Review / Theoretical Basis (if relevant)

Method / Approach (for research) or Creative Method / Documentation (for practice)

Conclusion and Suggestions

5. Abstract & Keywords
-
Max. 250 words for each abstract.
-
The abstract should concisely explain the aims, methods, main results, and contributions/implications.

Include 3–5 keywords (in the same language as the abstract).
6. Citation Style & Bibliography

Use a consistent citation style throughout the manuscript. Recommended: APA 7th edition (or another consistent style; indicate the preferred style in the author's instructions).

7. Images, Tables & Captions

Placement: Figures and tables are placed in the text close to the first mention (in-text).

Caption:

Image title: placed below the image, centered, and numbered (Image 1, Image 2, …).

Table title: placed above the table, centered, and numbered (Table 1, Table 2, …).

Font size: 8 pt for text in tables and captions.

Image quality: Minimum 300 dpi for images/photos. Source file format: JPEG/PNG/TIFF. Include permission to use the image if it is not the author's.

Don't rely on low-resolution images with text; if necessary, include the original files as attachments.
8. Files & Delivery

File format: Submit your manuscript in Microsoft Word (.docx) format for review. Additional files (high-resolution images, attachments) may be uploaded/attached. Upon receipt, the final version will be requested in PDF format.

File naming: Use the format:
Gorga_[JUDUL_RINGKAS]_[NamaBelakangPenulis].docx

Cover letter: Include a statement that the manuscript is original, has not been published/submitted elsewhere, and includes a correspondence contact.

Submission address: [editorial email address / online submission system] — (fill in with the journal's official address)
9. Ethics & Plagiarism Statement
-
Authors must state that the work is original and unpublished.
-
Manuscripts will be screened using plagiarism detection tools. Authors are expected to ensure originality; any quotations/translations must be clearly attributable.

The journal adheres to international publication ethics policies (e.g., COPE). Any ethical violations will be dealt with in accordance with procedures.
10. Author Identity & ORCID

Please provide the full affiliation, email address, and ORCID iD (if applicable) for each author. Please mark the corresponding author with an active email address.
13. Review Process & Processing Time
-
All manuscripts undergo an initial editorial check, followed by a double-blind peer review process. Editorial decisions are based on the review results. The editors will provide an estimated processing time upon submission (actual time may vary).
