Open Access Policy
Open Access Policy
Gorga: Jurnal Seni Rupa provides immediate open access to all published content. We operate on the principle that unrestricted access to research promotes a wider global exchange of knowledge and accelerates scientific and creative progress.
License & copyright
-
Authors retain copyright of their work.
-
By publishing in Gorga, authors grant the journal the right of first publication and license their article under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International (CC BY-SA 4.0) license. Under this license, others may copy, distribute, display, and build upon the work—including for commercial purposes—provided that proper attribution is given and derivative works are shared under the same license.
-
Authors are free to enter into additional non-exclusive agreements (e.g., deposit in institutional repositories, inclusion in book collections), provided that the initial publication in Gorga is acknowledged.
Permitted reuse & how to cite
-
Reusers must provide correct attribution: author name(s), article title, journal name, DOI (if available), and a link to the CC BY-SA 4.0 license.
Preprints & self-archiving
-
Authors are encouraged to post preprints (the author’s original manuscript) in preprint servers or institutional repositories before or during submission. Posting preprints will not be considered prior publication.
-
Authors may also deposit the accepted manuscript (post-peer-review, author’s accepted version) in repositories subject to the CC BY-SA 4.0 license terms unless otherwise agreed.
Third-party content & permissions
-
Any third-party material (images, figures, extended excerpts) included in an article must be accompanied by evidence of permission for reuse under CC BY-SA 4.0 or include an explicit rights statement. Authors are responsible for securing and documenting these permissions.
Article Processing & Fees
-
The journal’s author fees (submission/publishing) and waiver policies are published separately. Payment of any fees is independent of editorial decisions and does not affect peer review.
Archiving & preservation
-
Gorga supports long-term preservation and indexing of published content (institutional archive, DOI registration, and indexing services where applicable).
