PENGARUH MODEL PEMBELAJARAN KOOPERATIF TIPE STUDENT TEAMS ACHIEVEMENT DIVISION (STAD) DENGAN METODE EKSPERIMEN TERHADAP HASIL BELAJAR SISWA PADA MATERI LISTRIK DINAMIS KELAS X SMA DHARMAWANGSA MEDAN T.P 2012/2013

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan akibat pengaruh model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Student Teams Achievement Division (STAD) dengan metode eksperimen terhadap aktivitas dan hasil belajar siswa pada materi pokok Listrik Dinamis di kelas X semester II SMA Dharmawangsa T.P 2012/2013. Jenis penelitian ini adalah quasi eksperimen dengan desain two group pretes-postes design. Populasi penelitian ini adalah semua siswa kelas X SMA Dharmawangsa Medan yang terdiri dari 13 kelas. Sampel penelitian ditentukan dengan teknik cluster random sampling, yaitu kelas X_a sebagai kelas eksperimen dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe STAD dan kelas X_b sebagai kelas control yang menggunakan model pembelajaran langsung. Instrumen penelitian ini ada 2, yaitu tes hasil belajar dalam bentuk pilihan berganda dengan 5 option sebanyak 20 soal yang telah dinyatakan valid oleh para ahli dan lembar observasi aktivitas belajar siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa model kooperatif tipe STAD dapat meningkatkan aktivitas belajar siswa dengan rata-rata aktivitas kelas 71% dengan kategori baik. Berdasarkan analisis data hasil belajar dengan menggunakan uji-t pada taraf signifikansi (α)=0,05 diperoleh bahwa ada pengaruh model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe STAD terhadap hasil belajar siswa pada materi pokok Listrik Dinamis di kelas X semester II SMA Dharmawangsa T.P. 2012/2013.

ABSTRACT

This study aimed to determine the effect of cooperative learning type Student Teams Achievement Division (STAD) with experiment method on physics learning outcomes of students in the subject matter dynamic electricity second semester in X class Dhrmawangsa Medan T.P 2012/2013 and activity students in the subject matter dynamic electricity second semester in X class SMA Dhrmawangsa Medan T.P 2012/2013. The study was quasi-experimental by two group pretets-posttest design with the entire population of tenth grade students of  SMA Dharmawangsa Medan consisting of 13 classes. The samples of the study were taken 2 classes are determined by random cluster sampling technique, the class Xa by using STAD and class Xb using direct instruction. The instrument used in this study there are learning outcomes in the form of multiple choice with option 5 of 20 questions that have been declared valid by the experts, and the observation sheet student learning activities. To test the hypothesis used different test (t test), after the prerequisite test is done, the test of normality and homogeneity tests. The results showed that the cooperative learning type STAD can improve student learning activity with activity 71% and called good . For student learning outcomes, the results of testing hypotheses  t_obtained > t_table is 6,14 > 1,99 at significance level α = 0.05. Which means that there are effect of cooperative learning type STAD with eksperymen methode  on the subject matter Dynamic Electricity second semester  in X class SMA Dharmawangsa Medan T.P 2012/2013.
