PENGARUH MODEL PEMBELAJARAN ROPES (REVIEW, OVERVIEW, PRESENTATION, EXERCISE, SUMMARY) BERBANTU AUDIO VISUAL TERHADAPHASIL BELAJAR SISWA PADA MATERIKALOR DI KELAS X SEMESTER II SMA N 11 MEDAN T.P. 2013/2014

ABSTRAK

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran ROPES (Review, Overview, Presentation, Exercise and Summary) berbantu audio visual terhadap hasil belajar siswa pada materi kalor di kelas X semester II SMA N 11Medan T.P.2013/2014. Jenis penelitian ini adalah quasi exsperiment. Populasi penelitian adalah seluruh siswa kelas X Semester II di SMA N 11 Medan T.P. 2013/2014 yang terdiri dari 10 kelas. Sampel penelitian diambil dengan teknik cluster random sampling, yaitu kelas X-9 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas X-10 sebagai kelas kontrol. Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah tipe two group pretest-posttest design dengan perlakuan yang berbeda yaitu kelas eksperimen dengan model pembelajaran ROPES berbantu audio visual dan kelas kontrol dengan pembelajaran konvensional. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah tes hasil belajar dalam bentuk pilihan berganda sebanyak 20 soal dengan 5 option yang telah dilakukan uji persyaratan tes dan lembar observasi aktivitas belajar siswa. Data dianalisis dengan uji hipotesis menggunakan uji beda (uji t). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ada pengaruh  yang signifikan model pembelajaran ROPES (Review, Overview, Presentation, Exercise and Summary) berbantu audio visual lebih baik daripada pembelajaran konvensional pada materi kalor di kelas X semester II SMA N 11 Medan T.P. 2013/2014.

ABSTRACT

This research aims to determine the effect of ROPES (Review, Overview, Presentation, Exercise and Summary) learning model audio-visual assisted on student learning outcomes in the material heat in the second semester of class X SMA N 11Medan T.P. 2013/2014. This type of research is a quasi exsperiment. The study population was all students in the second semester of class X SMA N 11 Medan T.P.2013/2014 which consists of 10 classes. Samples were taken with a cluster random sampling technique, namely the class of X-9 as an experimental class and class X-10 as a control group. The research design used was a type of two-group pretest-posttest design with a different treatment is experimental class with ROPES learning model audio-visual assisted and control with conventional learning. The instrument used in this study were achievement test in the form of 20 multiple-choice questions with 5 options that have done the test requirements and test observation of student learning activities sheet. The data were analyzed by hypothesis testing using different test (t test). The results showed that there was a significant effect of ROPES (Review, Overview, Presentation, Exercise and Summary) learning model audio visual assisted better than conventional learning the material heat in the second semester of class X SMA N 11 Medan T.P.2013/2014.
