Publication Ethics
JCOB: Journal of Creative Business (JCOB) is committed to maintaining the highest standards of publication ethics and takes all possible measures against publication malpractice. This statement is based on the guidelines and best practices of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). All parties involved in the publication process—authors, editors, reviewers, and the publisher—are expected to adhere to the following ethical standards.
Duties of Authors
Authors must ensure that their work is original and has not been published or submitted elsewhere. Proper acknowledgment of the work of others must always be given. Authors should present their research accurately and objectively, without fabrication, falsification, or inappropriate data manipulation. Plagiarism in any form is unacceptable and will result in rejection or retraction. Authors must disclose any conflicts of interest that may influence the results or interpretation of their manuscript. All listed authors must have made significant contributions to the research and approve the final version of the manuscript.
Duties of Editors
Editors are responsible for making publication decisions based on the quality, originality, and relevance of the manuscript, without discrimination. Editors must ensure a fair and unbiased peer review process and maintain confidentiality of submitted manuscripts. Unpublished materials disclosed in a submitted manuscript must not be used in an editor’s own research without the author’s consent. Editors should take appropriate action when ethical concerns are raised regarding a submitted or published paper.
Duties of Reviewers
Reviewers assist editors in making editorial decisions and improving the quality of manuscripts through constructive feedback. Reviewers must evaluate manuscripts objectively and maintain confidentiality. They should identify relevant published work that has not been cited by the authors and report any suspected plagiarism or ethical issues. Reviewers must decline to review manuscripts in which they have conflicts of interest.
Ethical Oversight
JCOB upholds ethical standards in research involving human participants, data integrity, and transparency. Any research involving human subjects must comply with ethical standards and, where applicable, include evidence of ethical approval. The journal reserves the right to reject or retract articles that violate ethical principles.
Publication Misconduct
In cases of suspected or proven scientific misconduct—such as plagiarism, duplicate publication, data fabrication, or citation manipulation—JCOB will take appropriate actions, including manuscript rejection, publication of corrections, or article retraction. The journal follows COPE guidelines in handling such cases.
