Peer Review Process

Peer Review Process

Peer reviewers and the editorial board assess manuscripts that will be published in JGK (Jurnal Guru Kita). The review process is carried out using double anonymous peer review, where the identities of the author and reviewer remain anonymous. The Editor-in-Chief and editorial board are responsible for all communications with the author and determining whether the manuscript is suitable for publication, rejected, or needs revision.

The review process is carried out both by internal journals (Editor-in-Chief and Editorial Board) and externally (reviewers who are experts in their fields). Before entering the review stage, the manuscript will be checked to detect possible plagiarism. After passing the prequalification stage, the manuscript will be evaluated by two peer reviewers selected by the Editor-in-Chief or editorial board.

Peer reviewers are asked to provide recommendations to the Editor-in-Chief as quickly as possible (usually within four weeks). The final decision to accept or reject a manuscript rests with the Editor-in-Chief. Manuscripts that require revision will be returned to the author, and after revision, will be considered again by the Editorial Board.

The Editorial Board has two weeks to recommend whether the manuscript should be returned to the author, accepted, or rejected. The final decision to revise the manuscript will be discussed at an editorial board meeting, with possible outcomes in the form of rejection, major revision, minor revision, or acceptance.

The Editor-in-Chief will send an official notification to the author regarding the decision regarding publication of the manuscript, along with a reprint of the revised manuscript. The average number of weeks between article submission and publication is up to eight weeks.
