THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN MUKBANG WATCHING HABITS AND STRESS LEVELS ON NUTRITIONAL STATUS IN STUDENTS OF THE FACULTY OF HEALTH SCIENCES AND TECHNOLOGY, BINAWAN UNIVERSITY
Abstract
The prevalence of overweight and obesity in the population of DKI Jakarta aged 18 years, respectively, is 15.6% and 29.8%. Watching mukbang videos is a habit that is becoming a trend, especially among teenagers and adults. The increased interest in watching mukbang videos has led to an increase in food intake, thus allowing weight gain to occur. Students are prone to stress due to academic burdens, family and social demands. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between the habit of watching mukbang and stress levels on the nutritional status of students of the Faculty of Health Sciences and Technology at Binawan University. This research is a quantitative study with a cross sectional approach. Respondents in this study were 92 students of the Faculty of Health Sciences and Technology at Binawan University. This research was conducted from June to July 2023 at Binawan University. The sampling technique in this study used a purposive sampling technique. The statistical analysis used is pearson correlation. The results showed that there was no significant relationship between the habit of watching mukbang (p = 0.501) and stress levels (p = 0.974) with nutritional status. It can be concluded that there is no relationship between the habit of watching mukbang and stress levels do not directly affect the nutritional status of students.
