Peer Review Process

Procedure for Peer Review

Articles published in the Journal of Indonesian Active in Sports (JIAS) are solely based on scientific validity and coherence as determined by our editors and/or peer reviewers, who will also evaluate whether the writing is comprehensible and whether the work makes a useful contribution to the field. Journal of Indonesian Active in Sports (JIAS) recognized the reviewers' efforts and ideas.

Initial Manuscript Evaluation

The Editor will first review all submissions submitted within a maximum of three weeks. Although unusual, it is certainly possible for an excellent manuscript to be accepted at this point. Those eliminated at this stage are either inadequately innovative, contain major scientific faults, or fall outside the Focus and Scope of the Journal of Indonesian Active in Sports (JIAS). Those that fulfill the basic requirements are forwarded to expert reviewers for evaluation. It typically took up to 8 weeks. Manuscripts are published at least 8 weeks after being reviewed by two people.

Type of Peer Review

Submitted manuscripts are often assessed by two to three specialists who are asked to determine whether the text is scientifically sound and consistent, whether it duplicates previously published works, and whether it is clear enough for publishing. The approach is double-blind peer review.

Decision

Reviewers advise the editor, who makes the final choice whether to approve or reject an article. The Editors will make a decision based on these reports, and they will consult with Editorial Board members as appropriate. Editor's choice is final.
