Pancasila Philosophy of Humanity: Its Influence on Junior High School Students' Digital Communication Ethics

This study examines the relationship between students’ understanding of the humanistic philosophy of Pancasila and digital communication ethics amid rapid technological advancements. The objective of this study is to identify the contribution of the internalization of Pancasila values in shaping ethical communication behavior in the digital space. This study employs a quantitative approach with a ex post facto design, involving 96 junior high school students selected through stratified random sampling. Data were collected using a validated questionnaire and analyzed using descriptive statistics, linearity tests, and simple regression. The results indicate a significant positive relationship with a strong correlation correlation with a strong correlation coefficient of (R² = 0.764). Students with a higher level of understanding tend to exhibit more polite and responsible digital communication behavior. These findings underscore the importance of strengthening education based on Pancasila values in shaping digital character. Therefore, it is recommended to implement technology-based contextual learning to enhance the internalization of values in addressing the challenges of the digital era.
