PENGARUH MODEL DISCOVERY LEARNING TERHADAP KEMAMPUAN BERPIKIR KRITIS SISWA PADA MATA PELAJARAN IPAS KELAS IV SDS WALADUN SHALIH

Abstract


This research was carried out with the aim of finding out the effect of the discovery learning model on students’critical thinking abilities in science subjects. The population of this study was 50 grade IV students. The form of quasi - experimental design used is nonequivalent control group design to see differences in pretest and posstest between the experimental class and the control class. Dataa is collected using tests, documentation and observation. The results of this research indicate that the discovery learning model has a significant effect on the ceritical thinking abilities of SDS Waladun Shalih students. The average posttest critical thinking ability of experimental calss students was higher than the control class, namely 83.20 > 74,80. Based on the findings of this research, it is recommended that teachers be willing to use this discovery leaning model in learning activities in order to improve the quality of education.
