Jurnal Pendidikan Kimia (JPKim) is a peer-reviewed open-access journal that publishes high-quality research articles, reviews, and short communications in the fields of Chemistry Education and Chemistry. Established in 2009, the journal is published three times annually (April, August, and December) by the Postgraduate Program of Universitas Negeri Medan, Indonesia.
Jurnal Pendidikan Kimia (JPKim) is committed to promoting scholarly research and innovation in chemical education and its applications in teaching and learning. The journal aims to provide a platform for academics, researchers, and practitioners to disseminate theoretical and empirical findings that contribute to the advancement of the discipline. Since December 2016 (Vol. 8 No. 3), all published articles have been assigned a Digital Object Identifier (DOI) through CrossRef. To uphold academic integrity, the journal implements a strict plagiarism screening policy using Turnitin, effective from Vol. 12 No. 3 (December 2020).
Jurnal Pendidikan Kimia (JPKim) has been accredited as a nationally recognized scientific journal by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology of the Republic of Indonesia, under Decree No. 204/E/KPT/2022, dated October 3, 2022. This accreditation, at the level of SINTA 2, is valid for five years, from Vol. 14 No. 1 (April 2022) through Vol. 18 No. 2 (August 2026). The journal is indexed in several national and international databases and strives toward broader visibility and global readership.
