LITERASI BAHAYA ADIKSI INTERNET DI SEKOLAH MENENGAH PERTAMA JAKARTA SELATAN

Abstract

Internet addiction is increasingly prevalent in students. Many students with internet addiction in 2020 and 2021 have to be hospitalized. This is an important fact that internet addiction is dangerous and deserves the attention of many people. Various factors influence the occurrence of internet addiction, one of which is the condition of the Covid-19 pandemic. The social distancing policy by studying online since the pandemic took place has increased the risk of this internet addiction. There is a simple instrument that can be used to detect this condition and make it an alarm to immediately find out and deal with this addictive condition. Based on the results of the assessment using the internet addiction questionnaire, most of students who took part in the socialization activities were in normal condition. Some students indicated internet addiction and needed further consultation. Assistance for students is needed in order to develop healthier internet habits. Brain damage can occur due to internet addiction. Prevention efforts need to be carried out by many parties together. Community service activities in schools play a role in strengthening the ability of school community to maintain and improve students' learning abilities.
