Jurnal Pedagogik Olahraga (JPOR)

Jurnal Pedagogik Olahraga (JPOR) is a national electronic journal published by the Sports Education Study Program, Graduate Program, Universitas Negeri Medan. The journal is published twice a year, in June and December. Manuscript submissions are accepted throughout the year.

Based on the Decree of the Director General of Research and Development Strengthening, Ministry of Research, Technology, and Higher Education, Number: 72/E/KPT/2024, Jurnal Pedagogik Olahraga is a nationally accredited journal with a SINTA 4 accreditation rating.

All submitted manuscripts undergo a double-blind peer-review process and editorial review before being accepted for publication. Jurnal Pedagogik Olahraga publishes research findings, scholarly papers, theses, and other scientific works related to:

  1. Educational Sports;
  2. Achievement Sports;
  3. Health and Fitness Sports; and
  4. Recreational Sports.

Jurnal Pedagogik Olahraga was first published as Volume 1, Number 1, in early 2015. The journal uses the Open Journal System (OJS), which requires all authors to register before they are permitted to submit their manuscripts online. Through this system, editors, peer reviewers, and authors can monitor the manuscript processing and publication workflow.

Peer Review Process

All manuscripts submitted to Jurnal Pedagogik Olahraga (JPOR) undergo a confidential double-blind peer-review process conducted by reviewers with expertise in the relevant fields of sports education and related disciplines.

The criteria for manuscript acceptance include the novelty of the research, the accuracy and scientific validity of the content, originality, clarity of presentation, and relevance to the scope and objectives of the journal.

The Editor's decision regarding the publication of a manuscript is final. The publisher has no authority to intervene in editorial decisions, which remain entirely under the responsibility and authority of the Editorial Team.

Publication Frequency

Jurnal Pedagogik Olahraga (JPOR) is dedicated to providing a scholarly platform for teachers, lecturers, researchers, practitioners, and other education professionals to publish the latest research findings in the fields of sports education and learning.

The journal is published twice a year, in June and December, with approximately 8–10 articles in each issue.

Anti-Plagiarism Policy

All manuscripts submitted to Jurnal Pedagogik Olahraga (JPOR) must be original works of the authors and free from plagiarism. Submitted manuscripts must not have been previously published or be under consideration for publication elsewhere.

Authors are fully responsible for the originality and authenticity of their submitted manuscripts. All incoming manuscripts will be screened using similarity detection software, such as Turnitin and/or iThenticate. Manuscripts with an unacceptably high level of similarity or plagiarism will be rejected.

Reference Management Software

All manuscripts submitted to Jurnal Pedagogik Olahraga (JPOR) are strongly recommended to use reference management software to ensure accuracy and consistency in citations and references.
