EFEKTIFITAS MODEL PEMBELAJARAN TALKING STICK BERBANTUAN MEDIA RUMAH PINTAR TERHADAP KETERAMPILAN BERBICARA

Abstract: This research uses a quantitative approach, the aim of this research is to find out how effective the talking stick learning model is in improving the speaking skills of grade 2 students at SDN 1 Papasan in Indonesian language subjects. Pre-experimental design procedures, specifically one group pretest-posttest design, were used in this study. Data was collected through observation of oral tests involving 27 grade 2 students. Data analysis was carried out by prerequisite tests and hypothesis testing using IBM SPSS statistical software, homogeneity tests and normality tests were also carried out during data collection. The results of the research show that the talking stick learning model assisted by a smart home has proven to be effective in improving students' speaking skills, as evidenced by the fact that students who initially had difficulty expressing their opinions and conveying appropriate information from reading, but afterward succeeded in mastering these skills. Apart from that, students' understanding of the material also greatly increased. This is shown by an increase in the average score from 59.07 on the pretest to 85.00 on the posttest, which indicates a significant jump in students' speaking skills. The results of hypothesis testing show a significance value of sig = 0.000, which is smaller than the significance level of 0.05. This confirms that the application of the talking stick learning model assisted by smart home media is able to have a significant impact on improving the speaking skills of grade 2 students in learning Indonesian at SDN 1 Papasan, Bangsri, Jepara. Keyword: Talking Stick, Smart Home Media, Effectiveness, Speaking Skills Abstrak: Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif, tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui seberapa efektif model pembelajaran talking stick terhadap peningkatan keterampilan berbicara siswa kelas 2 di SDN 1 Papasan pada mata pelajaran Bahasa Indonesia. Prosedur desain pre-eksperimental, khususnya one grup pretest-posttest design, digunakan dalam penelitian ini. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi tes lisan dengan melibatkan 27 siswa kelas 2. Analisis data dilakukan dengan uji prasyarat dan uji hipotesis menggunakan perangkat lunak statistik IBM SPSS, uji homogenitas dan uji normalitas juga dilakukan selama pengumpulan data. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa model pembelajaran talking stick berbantuan rumah pintar, terbukti efektif meningkatkan keterampilan berbicara siswa dengan dibuktikan bahwa siswa yang awalnya masih sulit untuk mengungkapkan pendapatnya serta menyampaikan informasi yang tepat dari bacaan, namun setelahnya berhasil menguasai keterampilan tersebut. Selain itu, pemahaman siswa terhadap materi juga sangat meningkat meningkat. Hal ini ditunjukkan oleh peningkatan rata-rata nilai dari 59,07 pada pretest menjadi 85,00 pada posttest, yang menandakan adanya lonjakan signifikan dalam keterampilan berbicara siswa. Hasil pengujian hipotesis menunjukkan nilai signifikansi sig = 0,000, yang lebih kecil dari tingkat signifikansi 0,05. Hal ini menguatkan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran talking stick berbantuan media rumah pintar mampu memberikan dampak signifikan terhadap peningkatan keterampilan berbicara siswa kelas 2 dalam pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia di SDN 1 Papasan, Bangsri, Jepara.
