EFEKTIVITAS MEDIA KARTU KATA BERGAMBAR DALAM MENINGKATKAN PEMAHAMAN MATERI TO BE PADA SISWA KELAS IV SD
Abstract
Abstrak Penelitian dilakukan agar mengetahui efektivitas media kartu kata bergambar dalam mengoptimalkan pemahaman materi To Be (am, is, are) pada siswa dikelas IV sekolah dasar. Latar belakang penelitian ini ialah kurangnya pemahaman siswa terhadap penggunaan To Be dalam kaliamat sederhana Bahasa Inggris. Penelitian berikut memakai metode Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) dengan dua siklus. Setiap siklus terdapat pada tahap perencanaan, pelaksaan, observasi, serta refleksi. Instrumen pengumpulan data meliputi tes tertulis, lembar observasi, juga dokumentasi. Temuan penelitian mengungkapkan bahwa implementasi media pembelajaran berbasis kartu kata bergambar menyalurkan dampak positif bagi pengoptimalan prestasi belajar peserta didik. Peningkatkan tampak pada perolehan nilai rata-rata peserta didik di tes awal, siklus 1, serta siklus 2. Serta, keaktifan dan antusiasme siswa pada pembelajaran akan mengalami peningkatan. Dengan demikian, media kartu kata bergambar cocok dipakai pada pembelajaran Bahasa Inggris, khususnya pada materi To Be di sekolah dasar. Abstract This study aims to determine the effectiveness of picture word card media in improving the understanding of To Be (am, is, are) material in grade IV elementary school students. The background of this study is the low understanding of students on the use of To Be in simple English sentences. This study uses the Classroom Action Research (CAR) method with two cycles. Each cycle consists of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection stages. Data collection instruments include written tests, observation sheets, and documentation. The results of the study indicate that the use of picture word card media can improve student learning outcomes. The increase can be seen from the average score of students in the initial test, cycle 1, and cycle 2. In addition, student activity and enthusiasm in learning also increased. Thus, picture word card media is effective in English learning, especially in To Be material at the elementary school level.References
