Analisis Semiotik Peircean tentang Ikon, Indeks, dan Simbol dalam Film “Who Am I” karya Baran Bo Odar

Penelitian ini berfokus pada film “Who Am I,” yang bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi jenis-jenis tanda yang diekspresikan dan mengevaluasi makna dari tiga elemen tanda utama: ikon, indeks, dan simbol yang ditampilkan dalam film tersebut. Studi ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif deskriptif dengan teori semiotik yang diusulkan oleh Peirce sebagai landasan teoritisnya. Sampel penelitian dikumpulkan dari film “Who Am I,” dengan menggunakan pencatatan sebagai alat pencarian utama. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa peneliti secara sadar memilih beberapa tanda: ikon, indeks, dan simbol. Tiga jenis tanda yang diidentifikasi dalam film adalah lima ikon, lima indeks, dan lima simbol. Analisis ini menunjukkan bahwa makna dari tiga elemen tanda tersebut dapat dipahami menggunakan teori semiotik Peirce, terutama hubungan antara Objek, Representamen, dan Interpretant.Referensi
