Development Of A Mathematics Module Based On A Contextual Approach To Opportunity Material For Class VIII SMP

Abstract


Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian yang bertujuan untuk menghasilkan modul matematika berbasis pendekatan kontekstual pada materi peluang yang valid, praktis dan berpotensi memberikan dampak. Penelitian ini menggunakan model 4D dengan tahapan: define (pendefinisian), design (desain), develop (pengembangan), disseminate (penyebarluasan). Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di SMP Negeri Durian Remuk dengan subjek penelitian adalah ahli materi, media, ahli bahasa, guru dan siswa. Validitas modul matematika berbasis pendekatan kontekstual pada materi peluang dinilai berdasarkan uji validitas yang dilakukan oleh tiga validator, yaitu validator media, bahasa, dan materi yang memperoleh skor rata-rata 0,72 dengan kriteria valid. Kepraktisan modul matematika berbasis pendekatan kontekstual dilihat berdasarkan respon guru dengan persentase skor 88,33% dengan kriteria sangat praktis dan respon siswa yang memperoleh persentase skor 80% dengan kriteria praktis. Sementara itu, potensi pengaruh penggunaan modul matematika berbasis pendekatan kontekstual pada materi peluang kelas VIII SMP dapat dilihat dari hasil post test 28 siswa, hanya 6 siswa (21,43%) yang tidak tuntas dan 22 siswa lainnya (78,57%) termasuk dalam kategori tuntas. Berdasarkan data yang diperoleh, terlihat dari hal tersebut bahwa modul matematika berbasis kontekstual pada materi peluang kelas VIII SMP yang dikembangkan valid, praktis dan memiliki potensi pengaruh terhadap hasil belajar siswa serta dapat digunakan dalam pembelajaran matematika materi peluang.
