Being able to read can support learning success in other German skills. Reading is a key skill that increases language comprehension, vocabulary and knowledge of grammar. Globalization is fast and progressive in today's world and this affects a wide range of aspects, including information and communication technology (ICT). It is undeniable that the Internet has become an integral part of modern life and is even considered one of the essential requirements in the digital age. Integrating ICT into learning has proven to be extremely effective. Educational institutions around the world use the Internet to provide learners with comprehensive access to educational materials, academic knowledge, and interactive learning resources. Through the use of e-learning platforms, virtual classrooms and online courses, educational content can be conveyed more flexibly and without barriers. This study focuses on the creation of contextual learning media for learning German with a focus on the German reading skills A2 using Gnomio. Gnomio provides an interactive platform that allows learners to actively participate in the E-learning process. The learning approach used in the created learning media is Discoverly Learning using Gnomio to encourage critical learning and improve reading comprehension among students at the A2 level. The aim of this study is to provide effective learning materials that help learners to expand their reading skills at the A2 level in German while strengthening their language skills. The results of this study contribute to the development of innovative approaches in German teaching and the promotion of critical learning.
