The aim of this study is to create a comic as a learning medium from the folktale "Hikayat Beginde Lubuk Gong". In this study, the creation method is used. The process of creating the comic, titled Hikayat Beginde Lubuk Gong, consists of three phases, according to the theory of Richey and Klein. They are (1) the planning phase, (2) the creation phase, and (3) the evaluation phase. The data from this investigation are the words, sentences and phrases of the folktale "Hikayat Beginde Lubuk Gong". The data sources for this study are the book Bunga Rampai Cerita Rakyat Nusantara and the internet. The book was written by Ismadi in 2018 and published by Brilliant Books. This examination is carried out in the Foreign Languages Laboratory in the Faculty of Language and Arts at the State University of Medan. The result of this study is a comic called Hikayat Beginde Lubuk Gong, made with the help of the Ibis Paint X application. This comic consists of 24 pages and 102 pictures. The evaluation result from the language experts is 93.7. The evaluation result from the media expert is 95, which means very good. According to the assessment of the two experts, one comes to the conclusion that this medium is very good.
