Abstract

 

The aim of the research is to create a video animation of children's games in the village of Rianiate, Sibolga. In this study, the development model of Richey and Klein, which consists of 3 steps, is used. Among them are: (1). planning, (2) production, (3) evaluation. The data of this research is the information about traditional children's games in Rianiate village, Sibolga. The games are Batu Limo, Piccek, and Peok-Peok. This examination is carried out in the language laboratory at the Faculty of Language and Arts. The result of this research is video animation with the size of the video animation is 1.57 GB in total. The video animation was validated by language experts and media experts, with the language expert giving a grade of 90.6 and the media expert giving 92, which means very good. Based on the results and the experts' assessments, it can be summed up that this video animation of children's games in the village of Rianiate, Sibolga is useful for students studying traditional children's games in the subject German for children.
