Author Guidelines
Please read and understand the author's guidelines for manuscript preparation. Authors who submit manuscripts to the editors should comply with the author’s guidelines and template. If the submitted manuscript does not comply with the guidelines or uses a different format, it will be rejected by the editorial team before being reviewed. The editorial team will only accept manuscripts that meet the specified formatting requirements (downloadable at: Template and Author Guidelines). This template is designed to assist authors in preparing their manuscripts; it is an exact representation of the format expected by the editor. To use this template, please save the MS Word file to your document, then copy and paste your document here. All papers submitted to the journal should be written in either Indonesian or English.
Paper Format
The word limit for submissions is 4000-8000 words (excluding footnotes and abstract). The sequence of manuscripts should be as follows: Title; Abstract; Keywords; Introduction; Method (for original research articles); Main Heading Analysis; Conclusion; and References.
The referencing style used is the Chicago Manual of Style.
Title
The title of the article should be written in Book Antiqua Bold (14 pt) and should preferably not exceed 14 words. Author(s) name, affiliations, and email addresses should be provided after the title.
Abstract
All article submissions must include an Abstract. The abstract should explain the purpose and object of the paper. It begins with a brief discussion of the topic background and the significance of the research. The research methodology should also be briefly mentioned in the abstract. It ends with the research statement made by the author, elaborating on suggestions. The abstract should contain no more than 200 words and no fewer than 150 words, using Book Antiqua 10 pt, alignment: justified, single-spaced.
Keywords
Keywords should be arranged alphabetically and must contain at least two and no more than five keywords, separated by a semicolon (;). Use Book Antiqua 11 pt, alignment: justified, lowercase.
Introduction
The introduction should clearly outline the issue to be discussed in the manuscript. Before stating the objectives, authors should provide an adequate background and a brief literature review in order to record existing solutions, highlight the best of previous research, identify the main limitations of earlier studies, and demonstrate what the author hopes to achieve (to address these limitations). The introduction should also show the scientific merit or novelties of the paper.
Methodology
The method is optional for original research articles. This method is written in descriptive and should provide a statement regarding the methodology of the research. This method as much as possible to give an idea to the reader through the methods used. This Method are optional, only for original research articles.
Results and Discussion
The results and discussion should be written in the same section. They should be presented continuously, starting from the main results to the supporting results, accompanied by a discussion. Figures and Tables (if any) should be placed in the same section and should be actively edited by the editors.
Conclusion
Conclusion contains a description that should answer the objectives of research. Do not repeat the Abstract or simply describe the results of the research. Give a clear explanation regarding the possible application and/or suggestions related to the research findings.
References
For submissions to issues published from 2022 onwards, UNIMED Law Review uses the Chicago Manual of Style for references at the end of the manuscript. Only items that have been read and written on footnotes can be cited. Authors are encouraged to use reference management applications such as EndNote, Mendeley, Zotero, etc. Use other published articles in the same journal as models. All publications cited in the text should be included in the References section and arranged alphabetically.

Guideline for Online Submission
Authors should first register as an Author and/or be offered as a Reviewer through the following address:

Authors must fill in the registration form as thoroughly as possible, where the fields marked with a star (*) must be entered. After all the form fields are filled, the Author should click the Register button to proceed with the registration. The Author will then be directed to the online author submission interface, where they should click on New Submission. In the Start a New Submission section, click Click Here to begin the five-step submission process. The following are the five steps in the online submission process:
1. Step 1 - Starting the Submission: Select the appropriate section of the journal, i.e., Original Research Articles or Review Articles. Authors must check the submission checklists.
2. Step 2 - Uploading the Submission: To upload a manuscript to this journal, click Browse on the Upload submission file item and choose the manuscript document file to be submitted, then click the Upload button.
3. Step 3 - Entering Submission's Metadata: In this step, detailed author metadata should be entered, including marking the corresponding author. After that, the manuscript title and abstract must be uploaded by copying and pasting the text into the provided textbox, including keywords.
4. Step 4 - Uploading Supplementary Files: Supplementary files should be uploaded, including the Cover Letter/Submission Letter, proofread evidence, and the Signed Copyright Transfer Agreement Form. Therefore, click the Browse button, choose the files, and then click the Upload button.
5. Step 5 - Confirming the Submission: The Author should do a final check of the uploaded manuscript documents in this step. To submit the manuscript to UNIMED Law Review, click the Finish Submission button after ensuring the documents are correct. The corresponding author or principal contact will receive an acknowledgment by email and will be able to view the submission's progress through the editorial process by logging in to the journal’s website.
After the submission, Authors who submitted the manuscript will receive a confirmation email about the submission. Authors can track the submission status at any time by logging into the online submission interface. The submission tracking includes the status of manuscript review and editorial process.

Authors who publish with this journal agree to the following terms:
1. The journal holds the copyright for each article published, with the work simultaneously licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY NC), which allows others to share the work with acknowledgment of the work's authorship and initial publication in this journal.
2. Authors are able to enter into separate, additional contractual arrangements for the non-exclusive distribution of the journal's published version of the work (e.g., post it to an institutional repository or publish it in a book), with acknowledgment of its initial publication in this journal, as long as it is non-commercial.
3. Authors are permitted and encouraged to post their work online (e.g., in institutional repositories or on their websites) prior to and during the submission process, as it can lead to productive exchanges, as well as earlier and greater citation of the published work (See The Effect of Open Access).
